Tummy Tuck- For Large Bodies

Abdominoplasty or "tummy tuck" is a cosmetic surgery procedure used to make the abdomen more firm.
There are two options for a tummy tuck
-
Complete Abdominoplasty
-
Partial Abdominoplasty.

The surgeon will discuss desired results, and will then determine the appropriate procedure during your consultation.
Whether you're having a partial or complete tummy tuck, the area that's operated on will be stitched and bandaged. It's very important to follow all your surgeon's instructions on how to care for the bandage in the days following surgery. You will have to severely limit strenuous activity for at least two weeks. People love how they look after this procedure. That can take time, though. You may not feel like your normal self for months after the surgery. Diet and exercise can help you maintain the results.
PROCEDURE
-
The surgery involves removal of excess skin and fat from the middle and lower abdomen in order to tighten the muscle and fascia of the abdominal wall.
-
This type of surgery is usually sought by patients with loose or sagging tissues after pregnancy or major weight loss.
-
Depending on your desired results, this surgery can take anywhere from one to five hours. You will receive general anesthesia, which will put you to sleep during the operation.
